M-Files Corporation, the intelligent information management company, today announced that the company has achieved SOC 2 Compliance based on the Trust Services Criteria developed by the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA).
To achieve this certification, M-Files underwent an extensive review of its processes and workflows to demonstrate adherence to strict information policies and procedures encompassing the security, availability and confidentiality of customer data. Attaining SOC 2 Compliance signifies the company’s ability to establish and enforce rigorous security policies and procedures designed to minimize risk and safeguard customer data stored in the cloud.
AICPA SOC Compliance for Service Organizations
“We are deeply committed to meeting the highest technical compliance standards as we focus on ensuring the security of customer information,” said Antti Nivala, founder and CEO of M‑Files. “This certification reaffirms our proven internal practices for securing customer data and upholding its confidentiality in the cloud. Our customers should be confident that we have put in place well-defined measures to address the proliferation of security threats to cloud environments.”
SaaS providers that achieve SOC 2 Compliance have established processes and practices with extensive oversight across their organizations. For example, M‑Files procedures for monitoring unusual system activity, authorized and unauthorized system configuration changes, and user access levels are put in place to demonstrate how the company’s security measures meet today’s cloud requirements.
“M-Files solutions are built on trust and we take that trust very seriously. Our dedication and determination to protect customer data helps us form the building blocks of trustful, long-lasting customer relationships,” said Nivala.
